The word destiny, if taken from its etymological origin, actually means an Utterance of God. Which metaphysically means a divine action expressed in a physical manifestation. If we use the example of Jesus Christ, we see that Jesus was the actual physical Sun – incarnated in the human form. Let's say for the sake of the argument that you believe in Jesus, it doesn't matter whether you do or don't, I'm just using it as an example of what a divine action manifestation (destiny) would be. The Sun gives its LIGHT to all without abridgment, like Jesus supposedly did, which in turn gives LIFE to all things within its (the Suns) proximity, like Jesus did; that's why you see the birds and animals flocking around Jesus and why Christian scripture claim that Jesus taught Light and Love. What does the physical Sun do for us and our entire solar system? Gives Light, and as a result - Life, and it gives equally without consideration for all the good or evil out there, like Jesus. So how does the average person fit in this concept of destiny? Well, if you take into consideration aspects of astrology then we see that each individuals personality and being can be expressed in direct proportions to his or her celestial equivalents, which is expressed in astrology as ones Natal (Birth) chart. A Natal (Birth) chart can be regarded as the divine or celestial imprint that was made on a person at the time of their birth. Statically and astrologically speaking, no two people in the world have exactly the same natal charts which is one of the reasons that every single person is really a unique expression of the Infinite Utterances of God, and therefore one can reasons why each person has SOMETHING to do here on earth; or rather is DESTINED to do something unique. This doesn't necessarily mean you have to conquer the world or do something extravagant and make a huge name for yourself in this lifetime; but rather it means that FIRST have to figure out who you are, then apply that YOU (Divine Utterance) to the world to complete a certain cycle of things. The result of realizing the YOU, is as they say, The Shining of The Sun though the preception of the Eye. This really is the secret of the scriptures of the east and west, and what is termed enlightenments, Christ-Consciousness, etc. Scriptures can only act as a guide to the path of the Self, as tools can be used to construct an automobile engine, but ultimately the creative juice and vision has to come from you, as an expression of your highest potential, which is and always will be a unique divine expression, which is the utterance of God, or destiny. Where to start? Silence your thought and emotions and listen to the heart, which is intuition, and that is the guide that'll take you through your path. Be careful not to mix emotions with intuition because they are two very different things. Emotions are internal electrical motions in the nervous system which are a result of learned behavior throughout your life of good or bad circumstances. Intuition on the other hand, is when your essence, i.e. consciousness enters into the consciousness or essence of a thing, person, or questions asked. It is an immediate answer as opposed to the 'feelings' of emotion. The following letter was a response to a fellow seeker who asked, "Is there anything wrong with becoming an Atheist"? I have kept the name confidential for their privacy. Hey Mrs. X, There's nothing inherently good or bad about Atheism, but what's more important is to understand what the term actually means and ultimately what you are looking for in life. After all, blind believers (religious zealots) and rational skeptics (Atheists) remarkably resemble each other by polarizing to one extreme or the other. The truth is always found in the middle, never forget that. The key is to understanding both sides to the greatest extent possible. God – An abstraction that can only be partially understood through mental faculty is ultimately a feeling, or energetic 'vibe' rather than something which can be articulated in a textbook or speech. It is something that has to be experienced, not studied in theory. One could say that your inner divine potential, or consciousness 'pierces' the veiled of the phenomenal illusion of the physical world and becomes part-of, or 'one' with the ultimate reality behind all things perceptible with the senses. Again, the abstraction of God is something that can't be imagined or 'rationalized', but rather only experienced. Atheism, through rationality, denies these greater potentials lurking within oneself, and initially it would seem an appropriate idea, because after all, who has ever seen God? However, you must ask yourself, why would question of a 'higher' something or 'higher' Self even come up if the potential didn't exist? The question itself wouldn't come up unless its answer existed somewhere out there. The mind is only a tool to reach those areas of a higher existence, as legs are to arms that reach an apple in a tree, but the mind itself can't go there, and this is why rationalist will forever have to battle their own limitations. Rationalists are using the mind, (which is not designed to understand Universality), to attempt to understand Universality. It is no doubt an unfortunate paradox, but that's the mind for you. The mind is only concerned with itself and how it can benefit itself through it own intelligence, not with Universal cohesion; and this becomes the eternal struggle of the Atheist. Consciousness, which supersedes the mind reaches God, not the mind itself. Don't deny your higher Self, it's what separates you from animals, but also don't become a blind believer who is lost in their own fantasy world - Remember, the Truth is in the middle. Inspiration comes from the Highest into the Mind; and finally manifests in the physical world. So as for your question - There is absolutely nothing wrong with Atheism, but you are truncating, or cutting off a world of unimaginable beauty, and denying your better half. Hope that helps. |
